Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May has scheduled a series of community meetings in the wake of an investigative report alleging corruption in county government.

The meetings will provide residents an opportunity to discuss the county budget, government operations and other topics with May, according to an announcement Friday.

Investigators hired by May issued a report last week that found "widespread misconduct" in county government and called for him to resign.

May responded that the 40-page report was "salacious" and "wasteful," and he said he doesn't intend to step down.

The community meetings will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Maloof Auditorium in Decatur, Oct. 13 at the Lou Walker Senior Center in Lithonia, Oct. 15 at the Tucker-Reid Cofer Library, Oct. 20 at the Derwin Brown Memorial South Precinct in Decatur, and Oct. 22 at Welcome Friend Baptist Church in Ellenwood.
