Cobb Commissioners have approved a $100 annual permit for professional photographers to use public park facilities for photo shoots.

The annual permit replaces a $50 hourly fee introduced in 2017.

The hourly rate, which included a two-hour minimum, was found to be cost prohibitive, according to county parks staff, who recommended a change.

Commissioners approved the new permit fee as part of the consent agenda at last week’s regular meeting.

The agenda did not say when the new permit would go into effect, but that the county is working on a procedure for reserving times under the new structure.
