Clayton schools will dismiss early Friday

Clayton County public school students will get a headstart on their weekend.

Due to the impending inclement weather, the district will dismiss schools early Friday on the following schedule: Elementary schools will get out at 12:15 p.m., middle schools will dismiss at 1:15 p.m., followed by high schools an hour later at 2:15 p.m.

Parents or guardians of students in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade should be at bus stops to get their children.

All after-school programs Friday and all Saturday school-related programs have been cancelled.
