Students at one of just five military junior colleges in the country could get state tuition assistance under a proposal by a Milledgeville legislator.

House Bill 74, sponsored by Rep. Rusty Kidd, would extend tuition grant aid to Georgia Military College. The college, which is part two-year college and part 6-12 preparatory school, is not part of the University System of Georgia. It is run by its own local board.

The college has six locations, with a seventh opening in the fall in Stone Mountain.
