Atlanta, Fulton will open as normal Monday after I-85 bridge collapse

Fulton County and the city of Atlanta will not delay openings Monday, following the collapse Thursday of a portion of I-85.

The county, in an emailed statement, said it will have "normal opening hours" on Monday. Friday, it delayed opening buildings in areas affected by the collapse until 10 a.m.

Atlanta also delayed its openings Friday. The city and the county are coordinating their efforts.

Across the metro region, many employers have suggested that their employees telecommute or take MARTA.

It will likely be months before I-85 is reopened.
