The city of Atlanta has toyed for years with the idea of redeveloping the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center.

Now, under legislation proposed by City Councilman Kwanza Hall, the city is poised to sell the aging center to a private developer.

Hall’s bill will set the stage for the city to transfer the property to its economic development arm, which will craft a bid process and request proposals from developers to revitalize the site.
