There’s a spot coming open on DeKalb’s financial oversight committee, and the county is accepting applications.

The county is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Audit Oversight Committee because one of its members' terms ends at the end of the year.

The five-person committee is responsible for reporting problems, supervising Chief Audit Executive John Greene and monitoring the government's response to audits.

Applicants for the position must be DeKalb residents and possess expertise in conducting performance audits. They also should have at least five years of experience as an accountant or auditor, or 10 years of other relevant professional experience.

Candidates for the job will be selected by the DeKalb Commission and then take the place of outgoing Audit Oversight Committee member Belinda Pedroso.

Resumes may be submitted through Nov. 18 by email to AOCRecruiting@dekalbcountyga.gov.
