Human remains may have Forsyth connection

Human remains found by a hunter moving a deer stand in a southeast Dawson County woods Sunday are on their way to the GBI crime lab for analysis. The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office wrapped up a three-day search Tuesday, finding additional bones and clothing.

Investigators think the remains may be those of a Forsyth County man reported missing in February whose car had turned up nearby, Sheriff’s Captain Tony Wooten said.

Dawsonville is 50 minutes north of Atlanta, at the junction of Georgia 400 and State Route 53.
