A suspected Walmart shoplifter is in custody after a “high speed pursuit” in Dunwoody.
But this was no ordinary pursuit, police said Friday.
The suspect, who has not been identified, attempted to flee in a motorized cart at the Walmart in the 4700 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road, according to a post on the Dunwoody Police Department's Facebook page.
The man was arrested on a shoplifting charge.
Dunwoody police spokesman Timothy Fecht told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the man was also wanted on a different shoplifting warrant in DeKalb County and on an assault warrant out of Marietta.
