After an extensive study of more than 25 Chamber young professional programs across the country, the Gwinnett Chamber is unveiling its newly revamped Gwinnett Young Professionals program at the Young Professionals Launch Party 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Eagle Rock Distributing Company, 6205 Best Friend Road in Norcross.

The Gwinnett Young Professionals is a personal and professional development program led by Chamber in partnership with Georgia Gwinnett College that encourages young business people to develop and enhance leadership skills, exchange ideas, share common interests, learn more about the area's business community and engage in the community's future. The Gwinnett Young Professionals group targets individuals who are ages 21 to 35.

The program seeks to be a primary resource for young professionals by providing diverse opportunities for professional development while inspiring them to Live, Work, Play and Stay in Gwinnett. Program opportunities include professional development, community involvement, social connections and the opportunity to participate in the Gwinnett Young Professional Leadership Institute.

"By 2020, Millennials will comprise 50 percent of the United States workforce," said Sean George, Manager of Membership Services at the Gwinnett Chamber and program manager of Gwinnett Young Professionals. "Our mission is to attract Millennials to the Chamber when they first enter the workforce and engage and empower them through community, professional and social opportunities."
