A Fulton County jury convicted three men of a murder in a daylight shooting in an apartment complex, Yvette Jones, spokeswoman for the district attorney, announced Monday.

Prosecutor Lance Cross secured guilty verdicts of murder, armed robbery and weapons charges in the killing of 20-year-old Antonias Williams in an ambush during a drug deal on Friday.

Harold Clements, 26, Travon Menefee, 20, and Christian Williams,22, all face the possibility of life in prison when Superior Court Judge John Goger sentences them at a later date, Jones said.

Antonias Williams was shot on May 5, 2012 after he and a group went to the Hickory Park Apartment complex on Delano Road in south Fulton County to purchase marijuana from Christian Williams, according to the investigation.

Christian Williams directed the buyers to the back of a building, where Clements and Menefee ambushed the carload with weapons drawn, Jones said.

“Defendant Williams announced to the victims that they were now the targets of a robbery, saying, ‘You know what this is,’ ” Jones said in an email. “Defendant Clements fired a shot at the front passenger who had tried to wrestle the weapon away from him. That victim was struck twice in the arm. Defendant Menefee, noticing weapons in the car, fired a shot into the back seat, striking victim Antonias Williams twice in the head.”

The defendants fired at the victims’ vehicle as it sped away and authorities found it not far from the crime scene. Williams died at Grady Memorial Hospital, Jones said.
