The Fulton County Jail inmate who died Wednesday has been identified as Kevin Dummett, 41, of Atlanta.
Dummett died after spending three days in the hospital for treatment of seizures.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Dummett was booked into the jail Saturday after Atlanta police charged him with criminal damage to property in the first degree, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Dummett was being held on $15,000 bond, according to jail records. But on Monday, he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of seizures.
Officials said he died at Grady shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday from medical complications related to the seizures, though the exact cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
