Four people hurt when car goes airborne at Cobb intersection

Police in Cobb County are investigating an unusual wreck Monday morning that sent four people to local hospitals.

Channel 2 Action News reported that a Mazda RX8 left Windy Hill Road and traveled down a sidewalk before flying over an embankment and onto Atlanta Road.

The Mazda then hit an SUV and a box truck that were sitting at a traffic light.

Three adults were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, at least one in critical condition, and a child was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, according to Channel 2.

The driver of the Mazda was not injured, Channel 2 reported.
