A Forsyth County grand jury has indicted a teenager accused in a June DUI crash that killed a high school student, according to the district attorney.
Adam Robert Joseph Di Millo was indicted Nov. 10 on two counts of vehicular homicide, DUI, reckless driving and underage possession of alcohol, DA Penny Penn said. Di Millo waived arraignment, and pretrial motions could be heard in the case in January, Penn said.
On June 1, a Dodge Ram pickup truck carrying five teenagers hit a telephone pole within minutes of leaving a party, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office previously said. Paul Louis Castell Jr., 17, died after being ejected in the crash. Di Millo and three others were injured.
Di Millo was arrested and charged after the crash and later released on bond. Later in June, he was re-arrested on additional charges and again posted bond.
Three others were also arrested following the crash. The party host, Jeremiah Luke Funke, was arrested in the days after the crash and charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, consumption of alcohol by a minor and maintaining a disorderly house.
Two other surviving passengers were also charged. Delton Cook, 18, of Cumming, and John Fulkerson, 17, of Cumming, were each charged with reckless conduct and possession/consumption of alcohol by persons under 21, police previously said.
