The Cherokee Career Expo will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, and representatives from some of the county's largest employers hope to hire more than 600 people during the inaugural event.
Co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor and the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, the Cherokee Career Expo is being held at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center at The Bluffs, 1130 Bluffs Pkwy., Canton.
Fields including manufacturing, health care, information technology, customer service, retail, and government will be represented.
Among the employers scheduled to participate are Aramark, Awnex, Belnick, Chart Industries, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Chick-fil-A, Cobblestone Mills FactoryMation, Fairways of Canton, Go Plastics, Inalfa, International Marble Industry (IMI), Morrison Products, Northside Hospital, Pilgrim’s Pride, Pillow Perfect, Piolax, ProLogic ITS, Raydeo Enterprises, RBC Aero Components, RoyTec Industries, Schoen Insulation Services, Southeast Restorations, Stag Enterprises, Transtechnik, UAC, and the City of Woodstock police and fire departments.
