Atlanta police are following up on a home-invasion and attempted robbery captured in a dramatic video.
The video shows a skinny bandit who has trouble kicking in a front door of a home at 1163 Morley Ave. in the Boulevard Heights neighborhood near Grant Park. After his first failure, he stalks off but moments later he returns and tries again and again. The door finally swings open on his third kick, and masked men swarm the front entrance with guns drawn.
Police are searching for the six men involved in the May 11 invasion. While all were masked, one has a visible tattoo that detectives hope will provide lead to the gunman and his cohorts.
No contact was made with the residents and the gang fled once they heard yelling from the homeowner
Police ask anyone with a tip on the identity of the bandits to call and the tipster will be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
