A DeKalb County brewery was named as one of the best beer gardens in the country by USA Today readers.

Tucker Brewing Company placed fourth in the newspaper’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards category for beer gardens. The awards were announced Friday and also included Avondale Estates being touted as the country’s best small town beer scene.

10Best named the Raleigh Beer Garden in North Carolina as the best in the country. Tucker Brewing was the only brewery in Georgia to place in the top 10 of the category, and Avondale Estates was the only Georgia city nominated in its category.

Founded in 2017, Tucker Brewing is nestled in a small industrial park on Bibb Drive and boasts a large tasting room and a sprawling 8,500-sqaure-foot beer garden. The brewery, which also opened a full-service kitchen last summer, participated in the inaugural Tucker Restaurant Week earlier this year.
