A Cumming man was killed Sunday night in a head-on collision on a Forsyth County road, authorities said.
Kenneth Payne was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer northbound on Old Alabama Road just after 10:30 p.m. when he crossed into the southbound lane while negotiating a curve near Daves Creek Drive, according to Forsyth sheriff’s spokesman Doug Rainwater.
The Blazer slammed head-on into a 2013 Nissan Leaf driven by Kirthika Sivasubramanian, 34, of Cumming, who investigators said did not have time to react when she saw the Blazer in her lane.
Payne, 54, was killed and Sivasubramanian was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
