Police in Dalton have arrested a woman wanted in connection with a 30-year-old murder in Delaware.
Sandra Hartzag, 50, was living in a homeless camp in the northwest Georgia city when she was arrested on Wednesday, Dalton police spokesman Bruce Frazier said Monday in an emailed statement.
Hartzag has been charged with murder during the commission of a felony, robbery, conspiracy and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony in connection with the July 1, 1985, slaying of 54-year-old Joseph Braun.
Braun was found dead inside his Wilmington, Del., home, and his missing Honda Accord was found a week later in the Philadelphia area.
In 2001, New Castle County, Del., police obtained information linking Hartzag to Braun’s death, and police last month tracked her to Dalton.
Hartzag is being held in the Whitfield County Jail, awaiting extradition to Delaware.
