Woman killed in Sandy Springs shooting; man injured

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were shot in Sandy Springs around 3 a.m. Friday.

The woman died at the scene, and the man was taken to North Fulton Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a Sandy Springs Police Department release.

The incident took place on the 100 block of North River Drive.

The names of the victims will be released after family has been notified. There is no suspect or motive in the shooting, police said.
