A woman faces DUI and vehicular homicide charges after allegedly causing a deadly three-car crash Monday night in Gwinnett County, authorities said.

Doris Chene Gatesbusch, 54, of Stone Mountain, was driving her Lincoln Navigator west on Beaver Ruin Road toward Buford Highway around 9:30 p.m., Georgia State Patrol told AJC.com in a news release. A Nissan sedan and a Toyota truck were traveling in the other direction on the road.

The Lincoln crossed the center turn lane and struck the Nissan nearly head-on, the release said. The Toyota then struck the Nissan from behind.

The driver of the Nissan, Erica Everett, died as a result of the crash, the release said. The two people inside the Toyota suffered minor injuries.

The responding trooper arrested Gatesbusch on a DUI charge, and she will also be charged with failing to maintain her lane and first-degree vehicular homicide, the release said.

As of Tuesday night, she remained in the Gwinnett County Jail on a $10,306 bond, according to Gwinnett County Jail records.
