The mother of a 2-year boy is facing child-cruelty charges after police say she sat on her toddler's head for an hour.

Cobb County police arrested Susan Elizabeth Kelley on May 11. Police said Kelley, of Kennesaw, forced her 2-year-old son to put his head on a blanket on a wooden dining-room chair, then sat on the child's head with full body weight for about an hour, according to the warrant.

The child became unresponsive and was taken to Children's at Egleston hospital in Atlanta, the warrant said. The child is expected to fully recover.

Kelley is charged with first-degree cruelty to a child, according to the warrant.

Kelley's bond was set at $50,000. According to the Cobb County sheriff’s website, she was released May 12.
