Police are looking for the person who opened fire outside an East Point Waffle House early Tuesday, sent a bullet through the front window and injured a cook.
Police responded to a call about a person shot about 1:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of Virginia Avenue, according to an East Point police report.
“Upon arrival, it was discovered the cook, Troy Denard, had suffered a grazing wound to the back of his neck,” police said in the report.
Denard was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was unknown late Tuesday morning.
East Point police have not made any arrests but believe the shooting may have started with a fight.
Officers collected evidence, talked with potential witnesses and requested surveillance video from the Waffle House, Channel 2 Action News reported.
