A juvenile was arrested on a murder charge Wednesday in connection with a fatal DeKalb County car wreck that claimed one boy’s life.
The underage driver, whose name was not released, is accused of killing his teenage passenger in January after losing control of a Chrysler Sebring near the intersection of Rock Chapel and Rockbridge roads in Lithonia.
According to DeKalb police, the car swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Honda Civic, which was then hit by a Toyota Camry. The Sebring's driver was seriously injured and his passenger, also 14 years old, died on the scene. Police said the boys were not wearing seatbelts.
Channel 2 Action News reported that the Sebring was stolen.
