Two men are facing charges after a stolen vehicle crashed and burned after a police chase Friday in College Park.

DeMario Baker, 24, will be charged with theft by receiving stolen property and multiple traffic violations, Fulton police Cpl. Kay Lester said in an email to Channel 2 Action News. Mario Roscoe, 18, will be charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

Four people were removed from the vehicle, Lester’s email said. One passenger, a 16 year old male, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Injuries and condition are not known.

The car was reported stolen March 14 by College Park police, Lester’s email said.

Shortly after 11 a.m. Friday, a Fulton County police unit said it noticed a suspicious vehicle near Roosevelt Highway and Sullivan Road. After running a license plate check, police found that the car was stolen in a robbery, Lester said in an earlier emailed statement.

After following the vehicle, police attempted to pull the car over, but the driver did not stop, and later crashed at North Camp Creek Parkway and Stone Hogan Road. The vehicle then caught fire.

No civilian injuries were reported.
