The third night of Atlanta protests stemming from frustration over police-involved shootings ended with 11 arrests, officials said.

Recent shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Philando Castile in St. Paul, Minnesota, were captured on cellphone video and sparked the Black Lives Matter movement to demonstrations.

While Friday night events included more than 10,000 people and led to only three arrests, 11 people were arrested overnight from a smaller group of protesters, according to Channel 2 Action News.

One protester was arrested Saturday night at about 11 p.m., after a group of more than 100 demonstrators blocked Midtown intersections and were rebuffed by police in their attempt to get onto the interstate.

The Atlanta Police Department said 11 people were arrested — 10 charged with pedestrian in roadway and one charged with disorderly conduct.
