Police shoot man accused of assaulting Georgia woman

April 21, 2016An officer shot a man in Oconee County, after responding to a domestic situation Wednesday, police said.
A woman was allegedly assaulted by a man on Dials Mill Spur.When police arrived, the man responded with a firearm and police shot him.
The man shot was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. Deputies were not injured.
State police arrived to secure the scene and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is expected to investigate the incident.
