Authorities say they have charged two people with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Decatur man.

Warrants have been issued for Christonya Section, 31, and Jacob Marquez Pyne, 23, Decatur police spokesman Keith Lee said Saturday.

The victim was Gerard Foster, 52, Decatur police said. Foster’s body was found Wednesday in a stairwell of an apartment building in the 200 block of Robin Street. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Section is 5-foot-5 and weighs 180 pounds, police said. Pyne is 5-foot-10 and weighs 170 pounds. No other information was released. The suspects are still at large.

Anyone with information about the suspects can contact Decatur police at 404-373-6551 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Foster was Decatur’s first homicide victim since December 2014. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case.
