A Villa Rica sports bar that was hosting a breast cancer charity event became the scene of a gang fight and stabbing, police said Wednesday.

Police were called to the Watering Hole Sports Bar, on Bankhead Highway, about 3 p.m. Monday after a fight started during the event, Capt. Keith Shaddix with Villa Rica police said.

“During the investigation it was discovered that members of Hard Life Motorcycle Club had started a fight during which the victim was stabbed,” Shaddix said in an emailed statement.

The person stabbed, whose name was not released, was flown to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition, Shaddix said.

Police arrested one of the motorcycle club members at the scene. Joshua Daniel Wood, 25, of Carrollton, was charged with aggravated assault, battery and violation of the Georgia street gang act, according to police.

On Tuesday, police arrested Miles Eugene Gladhill, 48, of Winston, and John Robert Quick, 28, of Riverdale. Both Gladhill and Quick, also members of the motorcycle club, were charged with aggravated assault, battery, and violation of the Georgia street gang act, police said.

Additional arrests are expected, Shaddix said.
