Michigan authorities are asking Georgians to keep an eye out for a person of interest in a double murder case believed to be hiding in Atlanta.
Grand Rapids police said Thursday they received a tip that Derrell Brown, who’s sought for questioning in the March shooting death of two women, may have fled to the Atlanta area.
A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the 45-year-old’s capture.
Grand Rapids police said Brown’s girlfriend, Cherletta Baber-Bey, and her roommate, Keyona Griffin, were found shot to death inside their home March 13.

Brown, who also lived at the home, has not been seen since before the women were killed, Grand Rapids police Sgt. Dan Adams said.
Police said Brown is not known to have a cellphone or much money. He uses several aliases, including “Jay,” “Darryl Brown” and “Darryl Robinson,” Adams said.
An arrest warrant has been issued for receiving and concealing a stolen firearm, but Brown has not been charged in the women’s deaths, police said.
Authorities said Brown should be considered “very dangerous” and anyone with information on his whereabouts or recent travel is asked to contact local police, the FBI or 1-866-774-2345. Tips can also be reported anonymously to www.silentobserver.com.
