A person standing in an eastbound lane of I-20 in Douglas County was hit and killed Friday morning, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The early morning crash forced authorities to close all lanes of I-20 near the Liberty Road exit from about 5:30 a.m. until just after 7:30 a.m.

According to investigators, a pedestrian standing in the left lane was struck by an eastbound pickup truck and died at the scene. Troopers were attempting to locate a family member of the person killed late Friday morning.
