A woman was struck by a vehicle and killed Tuesday night outside a busy shopping center in South Fulton.

South Fulton police are investigating the deadly incident, which occurred in the 6300 block of Old National Highway, authorities said. The block houses a shopping center, anchored by Burlington Coat Factory, and includes a number of fast-food restaurants.

Few details about the deadly wreck have been released, but the pedestrian was identified Wednesday as 51-year-old Donna Wooten.

The investigation is ongoing, police said on Facebook.
