A passenger on a MARTA bus was shot during an argument Thursday, the spokesman for the transit agency said.

About 6 a.m., two passengers started arguing on the Route 42 bus, which was traveling near the intersection of Astor Avenue and Sylvan Road in southwest Atlanta, MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris said in an emailed statement.

The argument escalated, a shot was fired and one of the men was grazed in the leg, Harris said. No one else on the bus was injured.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

MARTA police are investigating the incident. As of Thursday afternoon, no arrests had been made.
