Gwinnett County police are investigating after a barber shop employee was attacked by a group of men Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at Mane Priority (MP) Barber Shop in Peachtree Corners at 7050 Jimmy Carter Boulevard around 2:40 p.m.

Responding to a call about a reported shooting, police arrived on the scene to find a man “suffering from superficial wounds to his head and face.” He was not shot.

After an investigation, authorities determined there were four employees and four customers inside the business when four or five men entered and began assaulting an employee.

During the assault, someone pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, after which everyone fled the shop, according to police.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.

Specific descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available.

Gwinnett police have asked anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Detective D. Brucz at 770-513-5300, or to anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case, police said.
