A 32-year-old Woodstock man faces a murder charge for allegedly injecting a person with an overdose of heroin, Milton police announced Monday.

Graham E. Williams III is accused of giving the deadly drug to Leslie G. Ivey, 28, on Oct. 21. Police arrived to the emergency call to find paramedics treating Ivey.

“Through investigation, it was determined that Williams had injected the victim with a lethal dose of heroin and then prevented others from summoning help when the victim began to show signs of distress,” Lt. Charles Barstow said.

Milton police arrested Williams on Friday and took him to the Fulton County jail on charges of felony murder, which doesn’t require an intentional killing, and interfering with calls for emergency assistance.
