A MARTA officer was shot while apprehending a robbery suspect Thursday night near the H.E. Holmes train station.

The officer, whose name was not released, was attempting to apprehend a robbery suspect when he was shot, according to MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris. The officer’s injury was described as minor, but he was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

Investigators were looking for two suspects Thursday night.

The shooting happened near the station, but did not disrupt service. The incident remained under investigation late Thursday.
