Man stabbed in northwest Atlanta during argument over loud music

Atlanta police Monday were investigating an overnight stabbing that left a man dead.

The stabbing happened just after midnight at a home in the 1800 block of Oakmont Drive in northwest Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News reported the victim initially got into a fist fight with another man over loud music. It was not clear who was playing the loud music and who was upset about it.

The suspect’s brother, who was also in the house, broke up the fight, but the victim and suspect began fighting again moments later, according to Channel 2.

During the second fight, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim, who later died at a local hospital.
