Police are searching for the man they said shot and killed a man early Saturday morning outside a southeast Atlanta apartment.

Officers responded to William H. Borders Drive just before 3 a.m. after receiving a call about shots fired, Atlanta police said in a news release. They arrived to find the man shot to death.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses, and they identified a suspect in this shooting. Police provided a video showing walking around the area.

A security guard told Channel 2 Action News he saw two men talking before five shots rang out and the shooting victim collapsed.

The alleged shooter was a man with long dreadlocks and a slim build, Atlanta police Lt. Andrea Webster said at the scene. He was wearing a black T-shirt, gym shorts and white socks, police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Atlanta police or CrimeStoppers at 404-577-8477 or online at www.StopCrimeATL.com. Tips can be sent anonymously and information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this investigation can earn tipsters up to $2,000.
