Police said a Kennesaw man robbed a woman at a busy Acworth park that is popular with families.

Andrew Yetman, 22, is in jail on robbery, battery and obstruction charges in connection with the incident at Logan Farm Park.

Yetman attacked a woman about 6 p.m. April 3, according to an arrest warrant obtained by AJC.com. Police said Yetman tried to take cash and her car keys, but she refused to give them up.

According to police, that’s when Yetman became angry. He punched the woman with a closed fist and knocked her to the ground, investigators said. The woman managed to call 911, and officers arrived soon after.

Yetman ran away from officers, the warrant said. An officer followed him in his patrol car and yelled to get on the ground.

Yetman replied: “Do it, sir! I am begging you,” according to the warrant.

Officers managed to get Yetman on the ground and placed him under arrest, but as he was being detained he spit on an officer and a firefighter, the warrant said.

Yetman is being held in the Cobb jail on a $22,220 bond.
