Residents at an assisted living center may rest easier after police arrested a man who allegedly stabbed and beat a 73-year-old woman.

Gregory Andre Stillwell, 36, of McDonough, was charged Friday with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and armed robbery, according to a release from the McDonough Police Department.

He was arrested at home.

The attack happened about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grier Manor Senior Living Center in McDonough.

The man asked the resident if he could use her phone and, once inside her unit, attacked her.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and was in listed stable condition Friday afternoon, according to the release.

Stillwell was in the Henry County Jail without bond Friday afternoon.
