A Cherokee County man is accused of taking pictures of a woman using a tanning bed at a gym, Canton police said Monday.

Friday morning, police were called to Anytime Fitness in the 3700 block of Marietta Highway after Giovanni Anibel Calleja was seen taking pictures, according to police. Calleja tried to leave the gym, but his car wouldn’t start, so he was in the parking lot when officers arrived.

After questioning the victim and a witness, officers escorted Calleja to the police department for questioning. There, investigators determined Calleja was responsible for similar acts during the past year, police said.

Calleja, 25, of Woodstock was arrested and charged with one count of eavesdropping. He was booked into the Cherokee County jail and released the same day after posting $11,200 bond.
