A 64-year-old Woodstock man was arrested on eight counts of child molestation after he repeatedly exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
The latest incident occurred Thursday after the girl exited her school bus in the 5000 block of Wesleyan Drive, Cherokee sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker said.
The girl told deputies Larry Groeber invited her to his garage and offered her candy
“According to the victim, while she was in the garage, the suspect exposed himself and began to masturbate,” Baker said. “There was reportedly no physical contact during the encounter.”
Detectives determined this had happened multiple times prior to Thursday, he said. The girl told deputies Groeber had given her candy in the past.
“At this time, no other victims have been identified,” Baker said.
Groeber is being held without bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
