Thieves broke into cars at a southwest Atlanta elementary school for the second consecutive day Friday, but unlike Thursday morning’s incident, police have arrested three juveniles in Friday’s break-ins.

Channel 2 Action News reported eight cars were broken into just after classes started Thursday at Fain Elementary School, on Hemphill School Road.

Police returned to the school just before 11 a.m. Friday after getting reports of four boys jumping out of a vehicle and breaking into cars, Atlanta police Sgt. Warren Pickard told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Upon arrival officers, the 4 juveniles fled the scene,” Pickard said in an emailed statement. “APD apprehended 3 and 1 is still at large. No injuries.”

Their names and ages were not released.

Police dispatchers also reported that cars were broken into Thursday at Towns Elementary School and Washington High School in northwest Atlanta.
