Seven people were injured late Friday in Athens in a shooting that may be part of a rivalry between two street gangs, according to a media report.

“How no one was killed I don’t know,” an Athens-Clarke County police officer told the Athens Banner-Herald.

Some gang members were attending a party when the members of the rival gang arrived in at least one car and the shooting began, the paper reported.
