A 56-year-old Flowery Branch man has been charged with arson and aggravated battery in connection with a Memorial Day fire that left a woman with second- and third-degree burns, authorities said.
David Egypt Young’s actions led to the fire on Osborn Road that injured Jane Thomas, Hall County Fire Services spokesman Zachary Brackett said Thursday.
Thomas, 56, of Flowery Branch, was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
Young is being held at the Hall County Jail.
