A Fulton County jury has convicted of man of murdering a northwest Atlanta club owner in a fit of revenge, District Attorney Paul Howard announced Monday.

Roshun Gray, 34, was convicted of shooting 30-year-old Federain Bennett in January 2012 outside “Club Louise’s” on Joseph E. Boone Drive after his friend, Jeremy White and White’s girlfriend were kicked out of the club after an argument.

Gray and White returned to the club and tried to force their way past security, Howard said in an email. While Bennett and White talked at the door, Gray shot Bennett and then fled the scene, Howard said.

Witnesses identified Gray from a photographic line-up as the shooter. He was arrested four months later hiding in Fort Valley, Howard said.

Superior Court Judge Todd Markle sentenced Gray to life plus 10 years imprison.
