Florida woman turns herself in to cops on Facebook

A Florida woman wasn't about to let anyone make any money from turning her in, so she took care of things herself — on Facebook.
On Thursday morning, the Winter Haven Police Department posted photos and a video of the woman and a man leaving a Walmart on April 7 with a buggy full of items, claiming the two hadn't paid for them.

Almost immediately, several commenters began posting tips, including one who wrote the two ride the city bus "all the time."

That's when the woman, identified by police as Elaina West, 29, put an end to the guessing game -- and anyone's hopes at a cash reward. About an hour and a half after the original post, West posted a comment reading, "Ain't no reward I'm coming in."
Police said West called them Thursday night and followed through. Police say they also identified the man as her husband, Patrick West, 30, who was already in jail after an arrest Thursday on unrelated drug and battery charges.
Both Elaina and Patrick West were charged with grand theft between $300 and $5,000.
