A high school teacher in east Georgia has been charged with sexual assault against one of her students.
Jennifer McCall Hubert, 37, was arrested at Thomson High School on Tuesday, accused of having sexual contact with a person under her supervision, a felony, said Patrick Morgan, spokesman for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Hubert, 37, was booked in the McDuffie County Jail, Morgan said. She teaches American civics and economics, according to the school’s website
She was released on a $25,000 bond, according to the jail.
Agents said results of the investigation will be turned over to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, Augusta's WRDW-TV News 12 reported.
