A Roswell drug dealer was sentenced to 80 years in prison after police found drug paraphernalia and weapons in his hotel room.

Richard Lynn, 37, was convicted Friday of trafficking heroin, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and related charges, according to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

Roswell police said they were told drugs were being sold from a room at the Atlanta Hotel on Old Dogwood Road in March 2015.

Reported illegal activity had been a concern for police, Roswell residents and police, according to the release. Police identified Lynn as the drug dealer, who was taken into custody when he left the hotel room with more than $1,100 cash.

Police searched the room and found heroin, cocaine, marijuana, scales and a loaded AK-47, according to the release. Lynn also had a .45-caliber handgun and a loaded 9 mm pistol.
