A Lawrenceville man was in jail Thursday on several charges after a wreck that left a 20-year-old motorcycle passenger dead.

According to a Gwinnett County police incident report, Ismet Huskovic, 72, was northbound in the right lane of Ga. 20 near Patricia Terrace about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he made a U-turn across the northbound travel lanes.

A Suzuki motorcycle being driven in the left northbound lane by Josiah Still, 18, of Lawrenceville, swerved but was unable to avoid a collision with Huskovic’s Toyota Sienna minivan.

The front of the minivan struck the right side of the motorcycle, ejecting both Still and his passenger, 20-year-old Elizabeth Marooney of Grayson.

Marooney died at the scene, and Still was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center with serious injuries, according to police.

Huskovic was arrested at the scene, and charged with 1st degree vehicular homicide, serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving and making an unsafe U-turn. He was released from the Gwinnett County jail Thursday afternoon on $19,500 bond.
